In Texas it’s hard to see the forest for the Bush’s… It’s not such a bad place to live, Spawned a few great writers, good to know three, Many a historical site can be visited, Isn’t that where a certain president has a ranch? With his whole big family surrounding him in time of reflection…? Oh geez, please don’t make me blanch… So many news stories out of Texas, Hurricanes from the Gulf, Mudslides and flooding, Other presidents being shot from grassy knolls, Extreme heat in summer, not as extreme cold in winter, Little snowfall, but still they get some, Sent from there right up to the northeast, Then we get it all… As for those writers that I know, A pair of special “K” twins, And a lush well known to all, He knows I am kidding, At least about the “being known to all” part, He gets his inspiration from the bottle, I get mine from a plant, probably grown in Texas, surrounded by Bush’s… I have always wanted to write something special about Texas, So now I want to ask, if you don’t mind, HAVE I…? © ed ~ 2/18/05

... and you've written it with that cute little tongue firmly "planted" in your sweet little cheek (ahem... that's the UPPER cheek, sir!) LOL.

Ah, yes, good to hear mention of the Texas duo, grand writers that they are and all-round lovely folks, I do say.

For me, besides the "special K" duet, the thing that saves Texas for me is that Molly Ivins is there... oh, and Ma Richards. Yep... a coupla dandy broads they are. (Molly Ivins is a journalist/humorist who is decidedly liberal and witty and keeps her nose just short of up the Bush's collective arses... for which they hate her... but she tells the truth). Oops... got carried away there, I spose. hehe... love you madly, you red-dressed hussey! LOL LOL) yes, I've just read Eddie K... katy xox
