Rough day (dedicated to all the women who work both at home and outside)

Rough Day…

She does come home at night after a long rough day,

No longer than usual but this you won’t hear her say,

She feeds her face a bracing Viking brew,

Then runs with all do haste to use the Vikings loo…

All the working ladies of the world,

We do really thank and herald,

They do more than their worth,

If I were them I think I would have by now hurled…

Another lady I do know named after a beer,

She does cook and clean and teach Braille,

If I were she I would probably be in the city jail,

As I would have by now hit my husband with a water pail…

So many can I speak of and elucidate upon,

There are those of us out here that really do appreciate you,

Enough I think to send you weekly to a makeover salon,

Then to come home to a clean house, no housework to do,

May only be once a week, but for that day, to work you can say adieu…

Jaysus, Eddie M, where in hell did you get a copy of my H.S. graduation picture? Whoa... I think that's the original... best call my dad and see if it's missing. Sigh...

Well, when they spout cliches, it's because they're looking for absolutely truth, I spose, so here's one for you: 'your heart is in the right place' m'dear... and this is really very touching. Now gimme my picture back! Harrumph! katy xox

Ah, superb, Ed,
Appreciate the mention and, unfortunately, I'm looking more like the lady with this poem every day :)!
Thanks for the laughter and being my friend :)!
