Since when are they my best,
Most times I do for you jest,
Wish I could say these years,
Are only visiting me, yes a guest,
Some days I feel older, here to you I’ve confessed…
Acid from my tummy,
Burning me from inside-out & making me feel crummy,
No pain quite as great as hangovers,
Just am I becoming an old rummy…
As the philosopher in the hat has said,
Can’t pee, can’t see, can’t screw,
What good is old age if I can’t have fun,
Only being able to eat soft bread,
Oh what the hell I might as well be dead…

It's not that bad, old man - there's far more to life than peeing, seeing, and screwing. And since I can no longer do any of those things, I now sit out in the forest, eating soft bread, and listening to the birds sing. Try it - loads of fun!
PS If you share some of the soft bread with them, they sing more.
A Good one Ed.
