An attempt at humor, though what is happening in Texas and Oklahoma is far from humorous, I still try to make light of a serious subject...

Poem Artwork

So much meditative fluid,

Torrents of water washing away druids,

Buddhists are one with the flow,

If you live in NJ, rain is something well you know…

Thankfully for us though,

This rain is not snow,

Granted with rain things grow,

Much more in NJ and a boat we will need to row…

The god’s do us bestow,

While flames and dust in other places do blow,

Oklahoma City is fast becoming aglow,

Those of you that do in Texas say hello,

Should maybe move to a less heated plateau…

Fire in the south is their foe,

Hard to fight with little water in the ground below,

We sympathize with your growing woe,

But just think, next summer little grass there will be to mow…

Yeh...I guess if one does not laugh about it then they must cry and laughing is a much better medicine. But like you we do all feel for those suffering in flood lands.God bless them. Here in Queensland Australia we have water restrictions with temperatures in high 30's and drought conditions.Water is so precious to this plantet we need to get it where it is needed most,if we humans can put men on the moon we can put water where it's needed, somehow.
I would kill to see snow right now....send some over here if you have any.
I love your humour and as always your poetry brightens my day.
Happy New Year.
Best wishes
from
kay.

A humorous look at the world and life through my eyes. Follow the author and his wife, as they travel the world …. several times over. Laugh at their funny stories, self-inflicted crazy events, strange observations, wacky zoo facts and snippets
