Every street does sag,

Every road does buckle,

Cause of it traffic on every avenue does lag,

What else can one do but sit in traffic and chuckle…J

Sink holes,

Long cracks,

Even steel reinforced cement does lack,

The structural fortitude to be smooth as a track…J

Are the workers working, or drinking coffee,

Perhaps instead of cement they can use gum or toffee,

Would make the roads taste better,

Though they may to some degree melt in the heat,

Maybe better to knit the roads around here a sweater…J

We shuffle along,

Trying to avoid the throngs,

We do what we know is right,

We drive our best without doing hopefully any wrong…J
