Forget going to the in-laws, Don’t worry ‘bout the visit from Mr. Clause, Just sit back and cast out your rod, Be sure to dress warmly, tis’ cold on your bod… Snow blowing by and nipping at your nose, Having a bottle of brandy will help when writing prose, A raging fire inside to keep warm your toes, A good place as well to cook under the water bio’s… Christmas tree lights all aglow, Standing nearby while the wind does blow, Sitting with your rod does get you to doze, Layers you have got of warming clothes… Maybe stay throughout the holidays, To Mom Nature one does of this beauty praise… © ed ~ 12/3/06

What a beautiful picture to go with your poem, Ed..love the cold weather and fishing is something I enjoy also..put them together, and you get the perfect picture you just painted with your words..

Can I just put a line through the window and sit by the fire?
Too cold you see for the likes of me...but really looks like
a nice place to stay...indoors that is.
