Merry Christmas, Mr. Ed

Poem Artwork

The heck with the cold,

The snow won’t get old,

Mr. Ed will keep us warm,

Will it be too much if we arrive in a swarm…?

From the warmer climes,

They do up country make the climb,

Attracted they are by the man that about them makes rhyme,

For Christmas they hope to arrive on time…

Flesh do carry their plastic brethren,

Long before the advent of men,

Pink flamingo’ have multiplied times ten,

With man they have lived a life preaching of Zen,

In a rush they are to live with the man with the pretty pink pen…J

Man, they have been flocking in here by the hundreds lately, and I could sure use some help cleaning up all this pink poop!

When can you get up here, Bro? And if you can't make it here for the Holidays, a big fat check for their food would really help out!

Thanks.

Pink flamingos on the lawn (that aren't plastic) means a warm and wonderful Christmas, which doesn't seem strange to me since I grew up in Southern California and can remember Christmas' when it was really hot. Now I am used to cooler weather this time of year, but either way, it is the spirit of the season that makes the holidays special.
Take care,
Sherry
