Poem Artwork

Forty hours a week,

Working to eat,

I get so beat,

No weekends?

Life would just SUCK…

The dog wants me home,

Hates it he does when off I go to roam,

He wants me here to of his hair comb,

If I were home we could go to Rome…

Life does eventually anyway just suck,

Unless every night we get to f***,

But unfortunately gotta earn that infernal buck,

On weekdays I guess I am at work stuck…

Lucky are those who have every weekend off. I work twelve days in a row, then get Sat. and Sun. off. Works out to four days off a month. Not by my choice, by boss-man's choice. But I really do savour those four days off a month.!!!!Lol. Hugs, Laura

Rufuz tell dad you can bite him bad enough to keep him home if he wants;-) Is your job really that bad Ed, or do you just like to moan?;-)

I worked with guys for whom work became a fetish. They were never away from the place - an accumulation of double or treble shifts was their means to achieving a fiscal climax come paycheck day. We used to tease our loveable Chinese colleague - who ran round his delivery in order to get back to the office to be first in the queue for any overtime distribution - that we were on overtime. He would be overcome with anxiety because he felt overlooked by the supervisor who gave out the extra hourse. Our Chinese friend demanded to know why he was never asked. What a laugh, yet so sad in a way to see a guy get all worked up because he was not being worked hard enough!
Me? I did the odd 90 hour week - well, helped pay the rent.

A-A-A-A-A-A-men!!! Not there any more, thankgod. But do I know the feeling!!! Thanks for reminding me how worth it was to trade bux for
peace of mind. . .to follow my muse and let the chip$ fall.
STILL get a kick out of weekends. Very idea! Boss makes me work six days a week --sometimes more -- but she's the best boss I ever had. Tells me to do my thing!:) Hang in, pal. Your day will come!! Fulltyme Scribbler, Esq.

Sure you don't want a job at the Pink Flamingo Sanctuary? You'd be a Flamingo Pooper Scooper First Class, with all assigned benefits, and room and board, and you wouldn't have to travel!
