OOOH, my achin' BACK...

I am trying to laugh, but crying seems to be the only emotion I can get while in pain...any suggestions would be greatly welcomed...

Poem Artwork

Won’t catch me with boxes stacking,

Won’t see me with any product packing,

Wish I had the knowledge to on the computer do hacking,

Right now with pain I am in no way lacking…

My lower back is really killing me,

I doubt I could even try to carry a flea,

To a doctor I should really try to see,

But all they can do is prescribe pills,

I might as well tell them to go climb a tree…

I have pain pills & just took a muscle relaxer,

In a short time I will be able to do little but purr,

Taking meds I would much rather deter,

But if I am going to live & work,

I need the medications that I did above refer…

I cannot sit in a tub of hot water,

Standing in the shower is also quite difficult,

I really try to be herein an adult,

But sometimes only crying helps, of the pain it is the only result…

I’d like to make you smile,

To make you laugh,

To enjoy your smile all the while,

But if I laugh it hurts even more,

As usually comedy is my writing style…J

You should try a couple of masseuses, preferably blonds, if the pain doesn't go away...you woldn't remember to have one.
Please, wipe out that silly smile of satisfaction, will you?

a good chiropractor will do you good ... try using ice ... 20 minutes on, an hour off ...

Hope you get well soon, I haven't experienced back problems, thank goodness! But, my mom, brother, and sister each have had different problems with their back and in turn each were treated differently. Try each of the suggestions the others spoke of...and rest! I'll put you on my prayer list...enjoyed the write! Hope you are one hundred percent soon!

The only thing I can tell you, Ed, is that way back when, I ruptured the bottom disk on my spine and it hurt like hell. Six months of physical therapy and aspirin. Man, I feel your pain. Best wishes.

Thanks,
Dan

Ed, go to a Chiropractor!! You'll feel better after one visit. In the meantime, apply heat, move in slow motion and hope for the best:)
Speedy recovery,

*OUCH*

Ed, I'm sorry your back went out; hope it comes..."back"...soon! *grins*

Don't let Rufuz jump on you, don't sneeze or cough, and don't make any sudden moves. Take a nice, hot bath, put heated back patches on your spine, and take it easy. If it doesn't help, see a doc; see what he can do to help. Very well done; I felt this one! *OW*

(((HUGS))) (gentle hugs at that) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

I once had such terrible back pain, I couldn't put on my own pants without help. I had pinched a nerve and injured a disk, and, of course, the docs wanted to do surgery. Instead, I found a very good chiropractor, and after weeks of therapy, all the pain and misery was gone.

And I can still put on my own pants - although I do prefer going naked!

ED --

THE 2 SUGGESTIONS ALREADY MADE BELOW ARE BOTH GREAT! ACUPUNCTURE AND CHIROPRACTIC. In some practices, in some states, both are offered under the same roof.
My son is trained in both!

If a vertebra or a disk is out of place, and pressing on a nerve, all the pills in the world won't put it back where it belongs. And hiding the symptom and continuing to move around can make the injury worse! A good Chiropractor will take X-RAYS 1ST, before he ever touches you! Usually some galvanic stimulation ( pulsating electric impulses ) and manipulation offer some measure of immediate relief. Also, there are specific exercises that he may recommend.

pills are the only things M.D.'s do -- they don't heal, they MASK the pain!

surgery is an absolute LAST RESORT! DON'T PLAY AROUND -- GET HELP! TOM.

(((gentle HUGS))), Ed,

I can commiserate. I've had back probs for years. But dang, I was hoping for your help in packing/moving boxes...you know, STUFF? :) J/K. :)

Try a new mattress. Hot showers. Cold/heat packs. Tylenol.

Hope you feel better, and don't let Rufuz jump on ya.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

You are a CHAMP Ed!!
Here you are with dire back pain and still...you maintain levity for your fans. I appreciate this and I appreciate you! See a chiropractor. I hurt my lower back once, spent 20K on a nuerosurgeon and a chiropractor got me well in two trips. Hey!
He got me to believe.
Feel better soon.
Love,
Susan
