Not yet summer, Already have had it, What a bummer… Ninety degrees of heat, Walking in my bare feet, They’ve turned into raw meat, Better to sit in A/C on my seat… When is winter coming, Of the heat I am succumbing, So many people in the park, No longer can I run in the woods, stark…J © ed J 5/26/07

Had a heat wave of 4 days this year too in June. 2008. Weather sure is warming up sooner. I can remember some Memorial Days being windy and too chilly for the first swims of the summer. Now when it is so hot I can go to my daughter's pool and cool off. Have not gone as of yet, but June 29 she is having an outdoor barbeque and will get a swim in.

After this poem, "hanging" in the park takes a different set of means.

Nice write...but remember; life's tough for everyone, and you could wear birkies for your feet. It's nice and cool on the Oregon coast today, so I'm not complaining.
