And shortly I’ll be high,

Searching for Santa in the warm (56 degree) sky,

Rufuz inside from his day long patio stay,

And me wondering why I’ve had a headache all day…

A chance of showers instead of any snow,

Pass by us they do, like the one now hitting the roof,

Glad I didn’t wash the car, dirty outside & inside from Ruf,

Got a couple of movies to in the DVD stick,

Hardest part for me is which one to first pick…

Ole Ruffie dog & I may go out around midnight,

Just to check to see if Santa and his sleigh are in sight,

We got some junk food, when the munchies do strike,

And we can hear that there is still traffic on the Route 40 pike…

I truly hope my other half remembers what I asked for this year,

Maybe a house for the two of us to move into, oh dear,

If not that, then maybe a newer 5^th wheel for Rufuz and I to share,

But to be honest and most completely fair,

As long as Rene is in my life, we being again a pair,

Then Rufuz & I will be happy without so much as a care…
