Poem Artwork

He is always in a rush,

But when I want to run, he tells me to hush,

I love him just the same,

But some of his excuses are really lame…

On the beach and I want to play & run,

I mean its pretty warm out here in the sun,

My joints feel fine now, but he’s barely hobbling along,

I don’t get hardly enough time on “his” beach as it is,

Before he decides to go back to the car & say so long…

Ah, but when we’re there,

Daddy & I play without a care,

He pretends to sneak up on me,

And I do the same to him,

Though he says I don’t play fair,

I just tell him that’s life & he just gives me “that” stare…;-)

Awww, how cute. You know you love him as much as he loves you, "stare" and all. :) Well done, Rufuz. Good boy!

Your Dad is far too young to be just 'hobbling along.' I suggest that you put him on a strict diet and exercise program, Rufuz! And talk him into that exciting camping and hiking trip in the great northwood - after you get him in shape, of course!
