Poem Artwork

Rufuz has got me well trained,

I wear the pants & the collar,

Of the use of the collar he has to me explained,

He holds the other end while we walk,

After all, he is, not I, the herein scholar…

He’s taught me to offer my hand,

When up he raises his paw,

I do as well give licky kisses when requested,

I watch the car while he shops, taking little naps,

I like to stay alert and well rested…

He does give me a treat,

While learning to be a good boy,

Sometimes he also buys me a little toy,

And gives them to me when nicely of others I greet…

Ed,

I love your Rufuz stories. Of course, any one that shares space with an animal knows they can never be owned. They can be your trusted companion, play with you, listen to you, but you really can't say "I own this animal, for in truth they own you!" You've pointed that out quite well.

We always knew if anyone could train you, it would be good old Rufuz. But Ma wants to know if he's been able to train you to stop peein in your neighbor's flower pots. And she says by the looks of that photo, he should start takin you on much longer walks!
