My habits I've learned from my dog...

Poem Artwork

I circle the toilet three times,

I sniff at it to be sure its mine,

Firstly I lift my leg to let go the flow,

Then I make sure nobody’s lookin’,

Only then do I squat & help the grass to grow…

On my tummy do I lay,

When there’s food in my bowl,

Why not be comfy when eating, I say…

I chase squirrels & birds,

Smell everything I come upon, including turds,

These habits I did from my dog learn,

And I like having my back scratched, that I never spurn,

As well from him I’ve learned not to write with empty words…

You don’t want to know what I do when people I meet,

Oh, you do, well then I’ve learned to stick my nose in their seat,

With some it is a really hard to do feat,

But it tells me so much, sometimes though one has to be completely discreet…

Hey! Ma told us you were doing it before Rufuz got in the picture, and talking about your best friend, your fur is going white and that's your real colors.
Kiss the mutt from me.

There you go again, blaming poor old Rufuz. According to Ma, you've been doing all of these things, since the day you were born!!

So now I know where the excuse, 'it was the dog in me,' comes from.
