Little brats scream like the devils spawn…

Poem Artwork

I hear them far into the night,

Then they are up & screaming at first light,

Out of the tents they run to the bathroom,

Naked as the day they were born,

Moms chasing them with in their eyes scorn…

Tie them in their sleeping bags,

Zip up the tent in which they sleep,

Moms let them scream, for the neighbors it’s a drag…

Campground life is life on the cheap,

Drinking beer & making noise, don’t worry some are asleep,

But the kids are the worst, in my camper I hide from them,

Already from the devil they’ve come to me to condemn,

Not listening to their momma, but cranking up Eminem…

I must confess that my mother would NEVER had used foul language around us nor would she permit wild antics. We were pretty straight and narrow. Then I went off to school and became much of what you speak..sorry mom. Of course what goes around...and now I couldn't agree with you more. Guess I'm getting old and cranky.

When people have no TV they make brats, if you want peace give them some of the money you hide under your mattress and they will stop making them!

After raising 5 children and now with 10 grandkids I look at their sounds as sweet music to my ears until they get to the age that their mouths are bigger then they are and you want to wash their mouths out with soap. Thank you Ed.

the screaming of kids is a real drag when you're tired and you just got to sleep with one and now the other one wants something. But 90% of the time it's music to my ears. Lol. Liz

JOISEY - amazing - great minds think alike!

Just wrote these notes this morning:

Saturday - May 23rd, 2009 - COX'S POINT PARK - 10:50 AM -

Beautiful Day - Gentle Breeze - Cool in shade of Pavilion -
People fishing along banks of Back River - Power boats - to and fro -
small, medium, large - Straight across other side,
two Gold Domes of Sewage Treatment Plant -
to their left, Eastpoint Mall - Sunlight glistening on water -
all Peaceful - EXCEPT ...

Screaming, crying BRAT KIDS -
AND A muv'va USING THE 'f' WORD AT THEM!

People at picnic tables fixing lunch -
Squirrels scurrying about, up and down trees,
across the grass - playing ...

Batteries dead in camera - need 2 AA'S -
forgot cell phone -
Cig butt into empty plastic Coke bottle,
put into trash can -
MORE SCREAMING - THAT'S IT - I'M DONE!
out of here at 11:20 ...

Tom. Luckily I could LEAVE THEM!

Aren't kids / noise makers great
I'm sending down some ear plugs for you and some duct tape for you to use on the kids
You decide which one to use LOL

By the way on your last poem I do think I said to have a quiet day
What happened?

Have a great one

Boy, you got that right - last night, prime example. Midnight, and the dang kids are screaming while the adults are sitting outside, getting drunk!! Grrrrr - hope you get some needed rest soon, Ed and Rufuz. Whatever happened to children should be seen, not heard? If I did that, my folks would have buried me!!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I hear ya; I sometimes hear kids (or adults) talking/laughing/arguing into the night, and it bugs the snot out of me! Try to get some rest!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :(
