Thunder & Lightening & Rain, oh my...

Poem Artwork

Coming down hard,

On the roof of this bard,

Worried bout his pard,

Inside I hope he’s barred…

Sure mom Nature, I wash the car,

And you rain on my parade,

For one day it shone like a star,

In a torrent the rain now does cascade…

Hey, I’m trying to come out of my funk,

Damn but that was close, more fun if I was drunk,

Don’t tell me it passed that fast,

One minor little blast, oh what a bore,

C’mon Nature give us some more, I do you implore…

We got the real one in Kansas, Ed, no teasing. I saw lightning that blasted into sparks through the air followed by an inch of rain. Here, God doth not refrain.........Jerry

It never fails. Washing your car is the modern day equivalent of a rain dance. Hope you needed the rain. Patrick

I hate the tease of a good storm passing by too quickly...just a smattering of rain suitable for messing up the car and not much else. It happens here often or we flash flood, not much in between. I miss the gentle rain that soaks the earth over several hours. Only upon occasion do we get that kind of rain here. I hope you are doing well, Ed.
Take care,
Sherry

Those storms missed us and I was looking forward to them. Oh well.

A sudden thunderstorm sounds mighty good about now (IF there's no severe weather involved!!). Supposed to be *HOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTT* all week; MAYBE lower nineties by week's end. Who'd ever think that lower 90's would sound so appealing?? (105 yesterday; supposed to be between 101 and 110 all week. UCGGH!!! I HATE HEAT!!) Well done, Ed, and that piccy is marvelous!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your (sunburnt) friend in Tx., Karen Lynn (and I AM, too; look--and feel--just like a boiled crawfish!!). :D

Hey, maybe a Funky Drunk is just what you need right now, Bro. May I suggest Wild Turkey - it goes down smooth, and comes out rough and lightning fast!

Love the piccy. Normally lightning and thunder mean rain, and boy, do we need the rain here in HHOOOTTTTexas. Only 105 today. (Acutally, yesterday, after 2 a.m. CDT here) Supposed to range from 101 - 108 degrees all week. MAYBE by Friday, a cool down into the low 90s - who would have ever guess low 90s would sound so good?!? LOL Send US the storms, they're severely lacking! LOL

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
