The Writers Muse vs. the Writer USED…

Poem Artwork

I seem to be all used up,

No words to spark me,

Not even a famous quote,

From a not so famous bard,

Can traverse my blockages moat…

Its been quite altogether too long,

Since last I put pen to paper,

Or in the vernacular, pressed a key,

I thought that after my battle with Mr. death,

More I would to have say, but seems there’s less, oh gee…

For those who recall prolific.ness,

I am sorry & must confess,

I really try to bring something new,

But usually end up with something old, borrowed or faded blue…

Well bring it on that faded blue

Or something old to warm that stew

Something borrowed would suit me too

But it really is all up to you

We're really glad you told Mr. Death to pound sand. Patrick

Wanna borrow my Muse, Bullwinkle Moose??!! I can send him over for a few weeks, but you gotta feed him; he eats quite a bit.

Don't give up hope, Ed; your muse will come back! You're ever in my prayers/thoughts; have courage!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

Dearest Ed, you lack the zest of life, for you have lost much. You need to get interested in something that can help ease your sorrow and give you some new things to think of.I know how hard it is to stoke the spirit when you've been so sicj and alone. But it can be done. My thoughts and prayers are withyou, brother!

love,
Eileen

Nicely expressed, my friend. Believe me, I can relate and I do empathize. You did very well expressing this, Ed. Love and peace to you,

you're doing alright, you found after what happened, the deeper you look the less there is to say, words can't, don't even try, but when you're back into your old humoures self, it won't be as hard.
Keep well! Jasmin Horst

HEY THIS IS PRETTY GOOD FOR A TOTAL BLANK-OUT!!! And anyways that seems quite OK to me, EdBear... the important thing is that you are indeed still ticking over and I've just been thinking myself that my backlist looks a tempting avenue to revisit... or not, truth to tell! :)) Funny, I was just thinking of you and wondering whether to risk your sugar levels and blood pressure with a phone call sometime... I don't like to intrude... xxx GLAD YOU'RE HERE NOW, THOUGH! :)) XX

Don't force it, Ed; it will come when you least expect it. Just like this did. Stay well my friend.
