Poem Artwork

Is it me or am I just nuts,

The cereal keeps talking, don’t tell me no buts,

It tells me everything of which I mostly do,

Maybe better off I’d be if I lived in a zoo…

Snap, crackle, pop ain’t all that is said,

It speaks to me till my blood pressure gets into the red,

Is it only this wayward poet receiving these spoken words,

Right from the box they pour forth

This has got to be food for the birds…

If you got the same insanity,

Or your doing it all for vanity,

Understand this, that I may well strike you as nuts,

And you'll note I never in my poetry use profanity,

I am doing all I can for the betterment of humanity...

I once dated a girl who I called the Breakfast of Champions. She didn't snap, crackle or pop, just laid there and banged.

What a b*t*hing poem, Einstein! When the cereal starts talking to you, you know you are nuts. Try a dried fruit instead, Ed.

I understand completely, Brother!

PS: Try to convince Snap, Crackle, and Pop to whisper the winning Lottery numbers to you.

I have suspected that Ma has our sister Dementia hidden someplace, ask PeeWee about it but not Tiger Lily (she's a squealer!)

Ed! You've fallen victim to the infamous snap, crackel, pop, rice crispies jingle of the 60's. (the other 60's afflictions I'll leave to your imagination) Now...Watch the watch...tick tock tick tock. You're getting sleepy...very sleepy. Now the next time you eat your rice krispies the voices will be gone, just use skim milk. I will now awaken you and you won't remember a thing. Except when you read the words Jersey Ed. When you read them you will moo uncontrollably at the moon for 5 minutes. Ready? 3..2...1..awaken ED.

Why does it do that? Does the manufacturing process trap air bubbles that the milk dislodges when it's absorbed?? Thank you for doing your part to keep America clean, Ed. But I must alert you that if the cereal is talking that much you're suffering from "cabin fever" and we're glad that Spring is just around the corner. Just don't go 'cuckoo for cocoa puffs'...
