Surely there’s a moral here somewhere…

Poem Artwork

In 1995,

A year I was still very much alive,

I was workin’ for my favorite drive,

All through NJ I did survive…

Heading down to AC daily,

Patient pick-up around ten,

Passed this for sale hot lookin’ car,

Couldn’t keep my mind off of it back then…

Finally came into a bit of dough,

So down to the dealer to of it blow,

Now for months this car had been sittin’ there,

And just as I got there, they sold the thing, it just wasn’t fair…

I ended up buying a Jeep,

Using it in a snow storm we had that was deep,

Surely there’s a moral in here somewhere that isn’t cheap,

But f*** the freakin’ moral, I wanted that damn car instead,

So now I got the same, almost, car, & I would really rather have back, the Jeep…!?

Ma says the moral is to watch your language, Buster! And if you want to drive people around, pick her up at 10 AM sharp for her doctor's appt. tomorrow, and don't be late.

Yea I know this feeling for sure, I sold my YJ about three years ago and I have regretted it ever since and plan to get another as soon as funds allow...maybe another year.

That is the same as dating two girls. The one you let get away is always the one you yearn for.

Well, you know what they say, Ed... ..."the grass is always greener..." or is it "the snow is not as yellow...?" Lol! I'm sure there is a moral to your "story." Love and peace,

Regis

Me thinks that you and I are in the same boat. We might both be lacking for morals..... Guess we might both be out on the same limb after all.

Enjoyable read, Ed. Thanks Dick
