Motorhomes, trailers & tents…

Poem Artwork

The campgrounds filling up for the weekend,

Gonna make some money for sure in rent,

Brats running around & making noise,

Chasing each other are all the girls & boys…

What happened to my favorite time of year,

The winter when neither kids nor noisy drunks do appear,

Fortunately though the pool is where they all head,

So I can lie comfortably and take a nap in my quiet bed…

Okay, okay, I can give them one weekend,

Yes, if it has to be this one, then let it be,

When parents do all their noisy offspring send,

To the pool, the water slide, the lake,

Where to us old grumpy folks, they cannot offend…

I'm with you on this one, Ed... but those of us who live in a holiday environment all the year round need to be generous towards those for whom this is a shot of pure adrenalin, perhaps! I'm still selfish enough to enjoy having my beloved Purbeck to myself and other locals for the other 42 weeks' of the year, though! Blimey, you got a pool, too!!!!!!!!!! :)) xx
