Turned down a pretty good job today,

Not too happy about doing so, in a way,

10 years ago, or even 5, I would have snapped it up,

But my physical condition of late is not yet up to the way it was,

That’s the reason for my turn down yep that’s just because…

I would have had to lift & move people,

In wheelchairs & stair chairs & such,

I have done it before, but that was 20 years past,

I thought that if I had done it, I might’ve taken my breath last…

So another job will come along,

This one was for me now wrong,

Maybe I could get a job wearing a sarong,

And singing on the streets a gay little song…J
