If laugh I couldn't, I'd have to cry...

Poem Artwork

This day was hell,

Rain of the torrential variety,

Makes me wonder if I should keep my sobriety,

Wish I could take those pills they make for anxiety…

It’s been a day of rolling boulders up hill,

And let me tell you all that take’s some skill,

Of stress today I have totally had my fill,

And it is not even my fault, corporate screwed my day,

Oh for that teensy little blue Xanax pill…

But tomorrow is another day,

Hopefully it is not like today, no way,

Since getting home in my bed I did lay,

Got to get rested for my next boulder,

Pushing that damn thing up hill sure does hurt my shoulder…J

I have become picky about which boulders I will push up a hill. Most I just get out of their way and let them go their way all on their own. Happier anyway. Love it. Liz

Life isn't easy, especially when you're pushing boulders uphill! The thing is, once you get to the top of that hill...the boulder will roll down the other side on its own....keep on pushing....

Isn't Penicillin supposed to help Sisyphus, or am I thinking about another ailment? And it always hurts when we get screwed by corporations.

Hah! I hear you talking, buddy, I have grown a man-sized callous on my shoulder from all the pushing. Kinda embarrassing when I go to a restaurant to have a bit to eat and they're all staring at my callus.
