Poem Artwork

Looked like us

…& we them…

Were they aliens

…or were we…

They were the same

…or so they did claim…

Brought with them the future

…we saw it as a temporary suture…

Beyond us in intellect

…behind us in neglect…

Unable to propagate

…one of us had to be a mate…

For us they came here to late

…for we were already dead, killed off by the growth rate…

Sounds like a futuristic screenplay. Love the groovy picture, Ed... or should I say, Zaphod Beeblebrox?! If you've got two heads it's probably the cider I'm on... xx

Jerry got it half way right I think, should be execute, everyone that can still breed, or cut their dicks off, or maybe we can get the POpe's consent for a permanent condom, like institute it as a religious rite, sort of like circumcicion, maybe cut a little further back sort of, you know what I mean, ha, Bless ya!

7 Billion Human Beings today, and many now say we'll reach 10 Billion before long. We are becoming like the Biblical Plague of Locusts, ravenously consuming everything in our path on this planet.

Perhaps those wise old Aliens will return soon with gigantic bottles of bug spray to wipe us all out, and to allow good old Mom Earth to regenerate and start over.

Plenty of "food for thought" here Ed ... but it's got me confused. I'll keep working on it though. Dick

Okay, you're getting philosophical, Ed? Eventually, however, to get serious, someday, someway, the world's population is going to have to be addressed. Execute everyone over fifty, perhaps?
