My muse is on its usual muse-ual vacation...

Don't let it know that I miss it a great deal...

Poem Artwork

Nothing to of write,

At least nothing within my sight,

Got into an argument with the muse,

It stopped just short of a physical fight...

The muse did on a vacation go,

On a sailboat where it can use all his hot air & blow,

I care not, for now, if it ever returns,

Guess I will, tonight, just skip the seed,

And go right for the sauternes...

If you see my muse,

Out an about on one of the seven seas,

Tell it I don't care if it ever comes back,

Make it look like I am in earnest,

Not the reality of which being,

I am just using this as a ruse...

All three of your "My Muses" are fantastic! :) You have been here a long time... It will take me a lifetime to get through all of them. You are so talented, your mind is "neverending" - you are blessed with great writing ability Ed Matlack.

Sauternes?! No wonder your muse skipped town. Those sweet French wines really give you the gas. Send your muse a note in a bottle that you won't drink them anymore, and hope for his swift return.
