1953 Alfa Romeo Concept car...

Poem Artwork

I don’t fly, I drive,

I want to arrive alive,

In my Hero mobile,

I got it for a song & a steal…

Flying past all other cars,

Shaken they really are,

What they see must be stars,

Must think they do that I am from Mars…

Takes time to become a super duper hero,

My license plate a plain zero,

Any one a hero can they be,

Just take a look at my car and me…J

You must look really snazzy cruisin' in your Hero mobile. Let me know when you're headin' to PA. I'd love to have a ride in it!

Which one is you? I'm picking up my Hero Mobile later today from shop. Sure hope they don't charge me two grand again (fixing high-tech modifications don't come cheap for the bionic man).

My twin brother picked up a 1970 Alpha Romero Spyder for $100 with the seized engine in four boxes. After three years in the garage, with him doing a hand engine overhaul, replacing a few parts, and bodywork, and eight coats of Italian Racing Red applied with spray cans and rubbed out, he unloaded the car for $3200.

That may not be a “hero,” but it sure is a miracle. Wonder if that car is still on the road today?

Dream on… dream on…
