...an early Halloween thriller...

Poem Artwork

Stalking the Barrens of New Jersey,

I keep them clear of local Guernsey’s,

They taste so much better in the raw,

Grass they do eat, but sometimes they,

do eat as well local straw…

Humans are the tastiest treat,

Especially the young, so sweet,

I get so very few of them to eat,

I just love all that virgin white meat…

I stalk from high up in the trees,

Above the forest floating on the thermals,

In the dark sky of me they cannot see,

With my eyes and a form of radar,

I search & stalk the ground for a snack that will of me appease…

Ma says that's the best picture of you she's seen in a very long time, you even look like you've lost more weight. I told her you've been cutting down on your Road Kill Snacks.

Please send her a framed copy of this one.

My grandmother loved Guernseys, probably because they were smaller and tamer, and, of course, gave milk with higher butterfat.

Based on your poem, I would advise her to only have a herd of Jerseys because Holsteins look like big uddered police car targets for the Devil and those Jersey girls grew up in them Barrens and know how to outwit old Ed in a devil costume sneaking up on the back end of a heifer, thinking it's virgin. ;-) ;-)
