Mischief night...

I remember mischief night being entirely different,

Water balloons & eggs the weapons of choice,

We used to hide on the roof of the Sea Isle Bank,

And bombard the New Jersey transit bus till it stank…

 

Caught only once,

Made to clean the bus,

The drivers name was Gus,

We all knew him well as the driver that was a dunce…

 

You’d think he might vary his route,

And by pass the bank, but again he wasn’t very astute,

Every year we did nail him & his chariot,

Until one year that one of us ratted us all out,

Just like did judas Iscariot…
