Poem Artwork

Few pictures of Mr. Ed Kostro are around,
But Ma did tell me recently they do actually abound,
Even though he has hid them someplace, he thought, sound,
Ma sent this one particular photo that she had found…

We used to call him Mushmouth,
Though, don’t tell him you heard that from me,
He was named after an uncle from the south,
That uncle was known as the Bayou county banshee,
We think that is why Ed does now rescue animals,
He is ashamed of his namesake & is trying to make amends…

With a face like that you can imagine why the animals are attracted,
Just think how our poor Ma, when she gave him birth, reacted,
But she tried to love him just the same as the rest of us,
Though she did try several times to push him under the school bus…

Too funny. I recall a wino who had no teeth but he could suck that booze down fast.

Reads like my twin brother's description of me. I think that story was told before in Genesis about two guys named Cain and Abel.

I hope no one gets hurt with all this good-natured humor. But the other Ed has very tough skin, known to have resisted many dog bites in the past.

Here we go again - you just can't behave yourself.

And I want people to know that they only call me 'Mushmouth' when I take my teeth out. I like kissin my wife and my dogs without teeth - what the heck's wrong with that??!!

PS: I've got more old photos of you, than you have of me, so get ready.
