Today it’s gonna be in the upper forties,
While tomorrow it’s going up to the mid-sixties,
Though tomorrow it’s predicted to rain,
Then on Tuesday the temps are predicted to drop to freezing,
I just don’t get how the weather works.
Around us the temp does of us pull & jerk…
Seems that old Mom Nature likes to with us play,
From sunny skies one day to the next with of clouds of gray,
From 65 degrees one day to the next freezing, keeping us at bay,
I really don’t understand the weather is something I constantly say…
There have always been drastic weather changes. Some are even reported in the Bible like the great flood that probably did occur, but not on a global scale. The media and the detailed weather information we get now is much more detailed and accurate than ever before, and the weather people play up what used to be just, "wait around, and the weather will change." An Almanac predicted the weather once a year, for the entire year. Now we have a weather channel, 24/7.
I just saw the History Channel report on the Dust Bowl when one dust storm reached all the way to Chicago, New York City, and Washington DC when Congress was debating what to do about it. During the 16th century, volcanic eruptions cause what was known as the Little Ice Age. A volcanic eruption in the early 1800s caused The Year without a Summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
The rapid shifts in weather and severe storms are clear indications that the predicted results of CO2 increase in the atmosphere are happening. We are slow to react to such things, but we must stop using fossil fuels very soon or things will get really rough and we may not be able to grow enough food to eat like we always have in spite of bad weather in the past.
Not just where you live, bubba, it's all over the globe. The changes defy logic. We're in a stage 2 drought now here is SoCal. There are rumors of stage 3. There has been only one substantial rain-fall this year. All the reservoirs around us are only about half full. The majority of peoples yards are dead. There are actually water patrols now that sneak around in the wee-hours to see who's watering illegally. You get warned and then fined if you don't comply. rlc
I agree with you. The weather these days blows my mind! I remember when the biggest change was having the "dog days of summer". Now, we get summer temps during the winter!!! Too wild!
