Poem Artwork

The world above,
My only companion,
A single winged dove,
We speak an alien dialect,
We purr to each other,
She is the closest I have to a mother…

White as white can be,
I live without sunlight,
I go forth into the night’s darkness,
Hiding from humanity my only fun,
Very little do I allow humans to of me see,
For fear do I to them invoke,
Alone with myself I can only be me…

No love do I know except for myself,
I live my life below with stealth,
Deep under the earth I have much wealth,
Stolen from the creatures who on the surface reside,
I am immortal, so my time I can bide…

A mere reflection of you Ed, but fantasy is good for the soul too. I enjoyed reading this, it's varied from your usual - and get a better look at you.

Now you're getting creative. No wonder they can't find the Jersey Devil when they look for you.

Okay, one of your better poetical experiences, Ed. Heavy as they used to say.
