That have to remind you; out of the blue, I might add,
About transgressions from SIXTEEN years ago,
And while I admit that yes it might have been at the time bad,
Then she gets mad, tells me she loves me & hangs up,
Until next time she calls and everything is supposed to be on an even flow…
What is it with that…?
What am I supposed to do?
I cannot change the past transgression,
And nothing in our conversation,
Had anything whatsoever to with this past bad thing,
Out of the freakin’ blue came this shot that just of me out blew…
What can I about this do…?
Maybe one of you long married guys out there can help me here,
Unless of course that it is that of your wife you might fear,
Then maybe one of you ladies that have subjected their man to this,
Can give me an answer to what’s troubling me right here…

Just maybe the issue is something that, no matter how much she loves you, she can't quite forgive. Sometimes the bad things people do to their significant others leave a lasting sense of betrayal, which leaves a permanent scar as a reminder not to allow that to happen again.
Jane is right. Sometimes women just feel like they have to lash out like beasts. I don't know how old she is, but just wait till she gets to menopause! And then, at about 60, most women mellow out just about the time they're not really good for anything but sitting around and having conversation over coffee or tea and cookies.
I'm told men and women are from different planets, and that's why we don't understand each other. I'm not sure that women understand each other. I feel your pain. My wife and I have been married for 35 years, and there are plenty of times she's a complete stranger to me.
