Hope you all had a happy Christ-mass & that Saint Nick visited you...
Eating right now, Snickerdoodles,
They are cookies of a kind,
Cinnamon & sugar, my diabetes WILL mind,
They are my treat for this “holly day”,
Eating sugar & drinking milk,
I wouldn’t have Christmas any other way…
This was the first year out of sixty one,
That I stayed in my home,
Usually surely I am out on the roam,
But it rained here all day, there was no sun…
So at home I did hide,
Not even to the shore did I take a ride,
It was different to at home stay,
I watched TV, read a book, & ate a sandwich & soup,
Didn’t really want all that hard to prepare goop,
Not to forget eating my snickerdoodle cookies,
So from my normal Christmas I did this year play hooky.
So, where's my snickerdoodle? Did you eat mine, too? Geeezzzz. We got out last evening for the candlelight service at church--Lessons of the Nine Carols. Wonderful service.
We hid at home, too--Scott worked on his stories, I knitted, played games, watched a movie (while he slept), and knitted some more--got 6 scarves done. We haven't even stepped outside cause it's been raining off & on. Oh well, get to drive home in the thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, I will beat the all mad rush to get home. I won't be passing any malls so should be smooth driving.
Santa found us last weekend and Remi is excited because he found her new home. Take care, sir . . . Bobbie & Scott
