Oh, to be alive forever without health problems...

How I wish, Yes, I’ve got the itch, To sell my soul to the Jersey devil, To have long life with health mostly level… But to become immortal would entail, Leaving all I’ve known to this point, Maybe buying a boat & around the world sail, Friends now that I am attached to would be disappointed… Would have to learn to keep close friendships at bay, To be more the loner than I have been up to this juncture, No one place could I for too long stay, My life as an immortal would need a total restructure. © -ed- 5/9/19

Thanks to the internet, most of us are already immortal to one degree or another. What we've put online will outlive us, thereby keeping us alive.

If people achieved immortality on the earth and became active and not old and run down, we would have a serious problem of resources that is already here with overpopulation. The only cure is to go in to outer space and propagate out there.

Since we've already proved that we can go to the Moon, "and the other places." I think that that option is quite tenable and we should go for more than just fun space trips for those who can afford them.
