I'm not upset, of this you can bet...

Poem Artwork

But to be honest I didn’t mind,

As I was not expecting from anyone for me to be kissed,

The only way I’d have allowed that would be if I were blind,

Not able to see the kisser’s kind…

It was as usual a day of rest,

Stayed in my apartment in the Village of Park Crest,

Was up and moving early today, shopping first then laundry,

Life’s little idiosyncrasies had to be done,

Touching dirty laundry always leaves me in a quandary…

Sixty five years old I am now,

Only can say, I can’t believe it; wow,

Should have been long gone by the age of thirty,

Instead I have lived this long to become an old man of the variety, dirty.

So, you're a "dirty old man", eh? I'm laughing. Your poetry takes me out of myself just when I need it! Rock on!

Love ya!

With retirment, you can't use the excuse of too busy to do laundry, cooking, or cleaning. But I still manage to find the excuse.

I wouldn't call laundry, an idiosyncrasy. More like a routine necessity. Especially if you don't like touching dirty laundry. Nobody gives a thought to the birthday of the dirty old man. Don't you know that?

Like Regis, I will have to give you honesty and, a bit, humorous.

Touching dirty laundry reminded me of an old joke. An old man goes to the Dr. The doc tells the old man he needs a stool sample, a urine sample, and a semen sample. The old man , hard of hearing, turned to his wife and asked her what the Dr. said, and she replied, "He wants your underwear." Happy B-day Ed.
