Leave me to keep Christmas in my own way…

For most Christmas is a happy time, but not for me so to myself just leave me!

Poem Artwork

 The closer it comes about,

The more I feel the gout,

Santa riding on a firetruck,

The poor guy is freezing off his nuts…

So I am a recluse,

If not for dialysis,

With happy people I’d have no use,

Would rather sit at home and talk to my stuffed moose…

The only thing I can see that’s good,

Is having snow to drive in while wearing a hood,

So leave me alone people that are fun loving,

To get past it I am with the calendar pushing and shoving.

You possess a stuffed moose! Must've been one of those bad Christmas presents that you can't even give away. Now you may be wearing a hood to keep you warm like me, but what would that have to do with driving in the snow?

So don't get out shoveling in the driving snow. You might end up frozen to the pavement.

I tend to keep Christmas very low key as well. Love and peace to you, Ed.

I'm right there with you. Personally I think Christmas should come once every 5 years. People just go gaga this time of the year, and to many go overboard, and overkill with their holiday spirit. But I'll Still wish you a Merry Christmas.
