Rufuz is my first mate…(thanks to ED Kostro for giving us the ocean going RV),
power up those diesels, number one,
for a storm approaches our small craft,
turn on the wipers and keep them going,
batten down the hatches, and tighten up the mizzen mast,
oh did I go a bit overboard, so to speak?
I hope not as there is a storm brewing in the sou’east…
looks to be a big-un’ as well,
the waves they look to be at least 50 foot swells,
our small craft will get her sea legs tonight, me hearty,
and Rufuz will have his captains license by morning,
while I get my much needed beauty sleep, ain’t that just swell?
the waves have touched as high as everest,
we have even bounced off the bottom as far as I can tell,
those waves, Rufuz, you got to watch out for the backwash,
they will send us to the bottom with hardly a warning,
so keep her fit and trim, bow, uh, er, windshield into the wind,
keep your seatbelt snug and tight,
as sometime late tonight,
we may see force 5 winds, alright…
More from the SS Rufuz at a future date,
if we find we can survive this recent storm of late…
