Saga of the Moon and the sea

The moon's gravitational force plays on the ocean tides. The Moon orbits our planet while the earth rotates in its axis. With all these forces reacting with each other, what we get to experience is the amalgamation of all these forces in this beautiful universe. We can only fathom them in our own small ways.

If you were the moon and I were the sea

This is how our story so true would be

Destined  nearer  not to be forever

Lament  for one another

Always in awe  be of each other!

Waning and  waxing  the moon sure hangs on

See how the sea  lies and loiters on

Her deadly locks ,she waves and  croons to murmur

Fretting   the Moon and the sea not any nearer

But distance makes the hearts grow fonder

The Sea  now she sparkles and, dances   to watch the  Moon

While he strolls the night in his shining armour

Illuminates her sheen and makes  her shine

She gestures in  darkness, sighs aloud!

To stare up at sky,  then smile abound

  The silence of the moon

Is the calm before the  coup

Reach out from the sky to gaze

 Quietly   bit by bit

Over the sea to be lit

In isolation the moon   paces up and down

In various forms he parades

Sometimes pale and sickled

Or bright, rounded , hidden

The various moods  designed day by day

Timeless in space   he walks on sure paths

In endlessly persistent ways

Dancing the crazy cupid moons on   to her face

Thunders the sea, she is in a trance

Held   now with his  piercing glance

The core of her being  shaken to move

 The moon rays  now kissing

 The warm beams lighting

Caught in the swoon and woken is she

Wild and wayward her ruling would be

The sea queen gestures to see

His majesty’s   celestial amorous  cover

No escape from the   mystic power she loathes

Angered   wild  but with passion she flows

But rises like a possessed demon in action

Drives through winds to work up high tides

Noisy currents, disturbing sights

Ebbs on   shores with frenzy and fright

At times, husky and eccentric her might

Disturbing ships and wild life watch on

Drenched   in his love

Lonesome and desirous

With her vanity   waves on fire

She steps out to engulf in her dainty folds

 Bellows deep from her girdle

  Bulge out her body

The fullness within

All at once she stirs, whirls   all then spills   to the shore

Wet and fertile

Wild at first and then calms   to retreat

Always swelling with pride   for   her beloved divine

This saga goes on and on

The   tides of the sea is forever of the moon

While he shines above and she hastens below!

Wonderful artwork J.K....product of a sensitive imagination
capture the romantic tale of the Moon distant from the Sea
...together...in freedom...barely touching...yet both powerful
work together as one...able to exist and dance in tune
to the same rhythm...never to far nor to close...do not need
to hold on tightly...enjoy the give-and-take relationship...
making each tide cycle valid...very much like a cycle of human
relationship.
Love the pic! too.

What a powerful epic poem! And it builds to a climax of very wet components. Perfect opening line. I need a cigarette.

The wonder of the heart is in its desire for the important things in life such as love and life through dreams. This reads more like a story and it fits so well with that desire within your heart.

The Heart's Way by Rebecca McKeehan

Love is universal and not limited to the most perfect among us. In this collection of romantic short stories and poetry, love comes to those who are decidedly imperfect, who possess very real human flaws, scars, and challenges. Awaiting us as we are.
