While we are fragile and last only a short time, the minerals that make up our bodies come from the stars and have existed longer than our solar system, even our galaxy. Slowly, geology unearths fragile life from long ago.
You have circumscribed a future that shows much creative thought that mere mortals might call fanciful. Artists and poets have no such limitations binding them, and for that, we have DW, a gift that keeps on giving.

The relationship of biology and geology is inseparable as your poem suggests. The underlying concern is how much of the future's geology will be made up body's turned to fossils, bodies that bled out, wars, domestic, corporate, etc. An awful thought, but real, even today. Mixed with the beer cans and other debris, the future may exercise digs that will not unearth fossils, but instead decayed junk, and remnants of war, weapons and twisted bodies as well. Nothing like the unearthing of Egyption tombs, or Africa's discovery of where we came from, much to the chagrin of those who choose to believe in fantasy. Very well conceived and executed. A thought process that deserves more cognitive evaluation as we think about the human species come the next millennium. Yes, the geology will be there, but nature of biology is likely to change radically.
