THE CHRISTMAS ELF
No one ever sees him,
When he enters your house,
And he moves from room to room,
Quiet as a mouse.
He’s about 12 inches tall,
And dressed all in red.
He has a mischievous grin,
And a festive hat on his head.
He hides in nooks and crannies,
Or sits on dressers and shelves.
Sent to observe children,
He’s one of Santa’s Christmas Elves.
He helps Santa at Christmas time,
Keeping an eye on girls and boys.
He reports if they’re naughty or nice,
Deserving coal, or lots of toys.
He generally can’t be seen,
Even when he’s in plain sight.
He’s making sure Santa knows,
What to bring on Christmas night.
When everyone else is asleep,
He gets to run loose and free.
He’ll hide the Christmas cookies,
And play in the Christmas tree.
And never touch a Christmas Elf,
Or the magic and elf will disappear.
You’ll be left empty handed,
Waiting for Christmas to come next year.
Remember, you can never tell where,
A Christmas Elf might be found.
So be on your best behavior,
To make sure Santa comes around.

Now I am going to critic the poem. You don't have to change a thing unless you agree. 1st verse -- second line changing to "When entering your house" ,from " he enters " gives flow and music to it--.3rd line same verse-- drop " AND " 2nd verse -- 4th line Drop " AND " but add " a festive hat sits on his head " 3rd verse--3rd line " Sent observing the children".
Mich I am not say I am right. I just wanted you to play with It.
Thanks much Darryl Ehlers
