Fit Bit challenge
I wear a Fitbit on my wrist
In keeping me active, it does assist.
This thing records each step I take
If I’m asleep or if I’m awake.
There is a program that will compile
Every step you take and every mile.
And if your friends want to find out who
Steps the most, they challenge you
Then Hilda got one and before I knew
I got a message, “I challenge you”
Hilda was suggesting that we share
Our weekly step count and compare
To see which one of us steps the most
And see which one of us gets to boast
I accepted the challenge with glee
But then my wife said to me.
“I think you are in for quite a shock
You’re too old, you’re not a jock
Hilda is going to clean your clock
Better be careful how you talk”
Now that comment hurt my pride
That I might lose can’t be denied.
“I am not concerned”, I lied
I’ll just take this on in stride.
I’m going to take it like a man
I’m going to come up with a plan.
My plan might seem a little bold
I’m going to rent a three year old
I’ll attach my fitbit on to him
Hilda will think I’m at the gym
But my plan has just one flaw
It’s against the childhood labor law.
