dark mood thoughts interrupted by a ray of sunshine

Poem Artwork

The Shroud

The ebon night fear wraps itself around me

like a blanket. nay, perhaps more a shroud

a funeral shroud of coarse heavy wool

wet and heavy from too many wasted tear

a shroud dark as the souls of Satan’s spawn

I resist screaming out in one last act of defiance,

rallying against all that is lacking in me

alas too weak I succumb, my voice silenced

I slip into the cold embrace of the shroud

but before my eyes close and my soul departs

I see her light, her love, her oneness with me

and that comforts me in my passing…

We do have others waiting in the birth of our death
Just as we have them here on earth
Its an embraceful offering Fee
No matter the darkness which veils

Fee there is a silver lining behind every cloud...erm, shroud, and when we see the ones that went before us, we are at peace, and our soul can rest. Thank you for this wonderful poem. I could see and feel the terror of the darkness the shroud brings, but then seeing her in the light made me smile.

May the Lord Bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your den sister Barbie

This may be a rather dark piece, but it sure captures the feelings well. But there is so much hope springing from the darkness! Hope all is well Felix.

Peace,
Dayvid
