The time of the yearly ritual draws near.

Candles flicker against salmon
and the sacred flame breathes within the stone alter,
while the lone wolf pours smoke from its jaw

I lay upon tan covering gray
Drifting into remembrance
As emanations of Mae Culpa
accompany the whispers of feathered rings
that caught

The Dream

      The Joining of Mash.Tab.Ba and Sim.Mah

       He lifts the veil of Gothic velvet
       touching that which lies beneath
       discovering softness more than the covering.
      His pleasure becomes visible in dark eyes
      that ask to journey further 

      Rhythms blend
      as all becomes one
      the smoke, fire,  music and movement
      Eyes search expression finding awe.
      He is captured by her beauty
      and becomes beautiful 

      Bodies continue the ceremony
      as spirit floats on a crescent moon
      giving liberation of want and need
      surrendering all to the solitary

      The worship follows its own path
      Inhaling spirit
      Exhaling passion
      His body and soul  intrinsic to hers
      exploring meaning
      penetrating the long slumber
      knowing life for the first time

 

This is his needle
injected every October
following the vein
to the heart
