We lived in Japan three years. We loved it! However, we did think the local English was too funny. We have to give the Japanese credit for trying. This is a snap shot of what our conversations were like with our friends. Bless them - they were so kind and gracious!

Q. What are we doing today? *A.We go mountaintop.* *Then seetrees aplenty.* *After we golake* *Rapid boatride too.* *When finished allwet.* *So bring changeclothes.* OK - How do we get up to the mountain? *Easy one - Cupcake!* *Go by mycar.* *Stationwagon size.* *All fit in OK.* *I know way* *So no problem!* OK, Thank you, when do we go? *Yes - we go now please...* *PS: A GREAT time was had by all.*

Too funny! Thanks for sharing. Coincidentally, last night a friend showed me the link www.engrish.com and we had a good laugh at many of the signs. If you haven't been in, check it out. I'd love to read more about your experiences in Japan.

Such fun. I use to help my husband mark exams from the courses he taught in Richmond, a very Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean area of Vancouver. Oh my goodness the chinglish was so amusing at times. Thanks, J'nia
