Don't laugh too loud for this can happen to you! It can happen to me too!

Poem Artwork

One fine day I fell in love with Funny Bones Claire

It happened fast; all it took was two winks and a stare

She drove up with the bread isle with her rattling cart

Then she side swiped me while reaching for some Pop Tarts

There was really nothing I could say and nothing I could do

When her cart hit mine my eyes stuck to hers like Elmer’s glue

We proceeded to the end of the isle and she headed south

But all I could do was follow her all the way as we “checked out”

We wound up together with a load of groceries side by side

But I forgot where I parked so I asked her to give me a ride

She had a little red sports car that let out a bang and a roar

She popped the clutch and put her foot down to the floor

The wheels screeched loudly and lots of burnt rubber peeled away

Her expression was like a race car driver on the Indy Speedway!

We took off like a rocket in outer space and in no time at all

Her car was out of the parking lot and we were down by the Mall

I asked her real nicely, “What in the world are we doing here?”

She said, “Did you forget we are married and this is your car my dear.”

Well now I know why I am so in love with Funny Bones Claire

So if you are 90 and FORGET your wife while shopping,

Please BEWARE!

Love,

Funny Bones Claire

YOU SAID, "SHE 'WAS'...A LOVELY LADY". SO, I'M ASSUMING SHE IS DECEASED. WHAT A TOUCHING AND BEAUTIFUL WAY TO REMEMBER HER...WITH A SMILE AND A LOVELY 'SKETCH' OF THE WAY IT USED TO BE. THANKS FOR SHARING. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Thanks for giving Monica a moment of fame. She must have some stories to tell.

After I stopped laughing, I looked up and found out I wasn't at the mall. I'm sure glad you didn't use superglue or your eyes would still be stuck to hers. And I know what you were "checking out" and it wasn't your groceries, following her cart.

I met an old man in a store, he looked kind of sad. I asked him what was wrong, and he said he had lost his wife. I said it must be hard losing your wife, and he said it's damn near impossible.
a vrey entertaing tale. Did you find love in the grocery store?

I now leave my wife in the car while I go shopping. That way, if I can find my way back to my car, I know I can find her, too!
