 Beh’s Song

For many years I bought flowers on my way home from work at Flower Row next to the Medical Center. But when I retired it was hard for me to get there and when I tried the Internet, they were too expensive.

Last year they missed delivery after hours and brought the flowers to the shop four days later dried out. This year, I had three dozen arrive on Wednesday so they are beautiful today.

Good morning, Vietnam!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

You know I love you,

Not just for this day,

But for every day, 

and for every year,

You help me this way.

From when you get me up from my bed,

Until you put me to sleep, cover my head.
