I looked in the mirror, A RAW reflection
As I look within me and beyond all animations, I gathered the conflicts of your retaliations I watched within these eyes of mind, beyond the darkness, in a space of mine
How can wants take, and hand a child their strife? When their arms explode the innocent life? Their surface reveals all offspring traditions, while their legs stand on tables of contradiction.
I looked in the mirror, A RAW reflection
My eyes can see each proud demonstration. And their flags still wave in songs of nations. Mock and mimic, O’ bloodless tongue! I can hear now, how your bells have rung
The guns will blast in postulate chatter, while nations recline in their lipid matter. Someone, up there, must have turned out the light For dawn now darkens our early might
I looked in the mirror, A RAW reflection
Now, an image reflected, when I looked straight at me; but, we can’t see behind all the worlds vanity The straightedge will shorten in lengthy a rage, so all pray for wisdom from our Omniscient sage.
Stay within, and surround one world of peace. Don’t look in the mirror with such furrowed crease. Shovels only dig greed and bury us more,
I looked in the mirror and I saw WAR

Reviews of "A RAW Reflection" Revised and Reposted"
A powerful statement, sadly over 56.000 brothers in Nam will never heard it, or the ones in Korea, or those long gone in W.W.II, yet, the ones on the top that ignore the errors in the past are going to repeat it all over again.
But, right or wrong, when my country called...I went.
Going to war wasn't my dishonor, was my duty.
I hope that someone up there in Washington's White Tepee read your words and thing twice before sending more of our proudness down the drain on an harebrained gig.
Love
Georg
It is always better to see ourselves, and others, and the world at large, for exactly what it is. When we start retreating into our own delusions, misunderstandings will always ensue.
A powerfully insightful write, and excellent art work. You are a gifted woman.
Perfect timing, Kimmy! I like your finish to this poem seeing the word RAW in reverse. This reminds me of Stephen King's novel "The Shining," where the little boy saw REDRUM on the walls until he looked in the mirror....King shocked all his readers when it read MURDER. Good work, Kimmy!!! 5 or MORE stars!!
Brillian piece Kimmy and the use of mirror and letter reflection is very creative and well done. I think this is one of your best and presseshome a good message as well.
A powerful closing: "I looked in the mirror and I saw WAR"
When will we change?
Will we change?
We need to join our voices with yours, Kimmy.
