The tree is screaming for help, understanding, but unfortunately ignored. Perhaps if we were kinder to her, she would embellish her wealth upon all. Fantastic write!

Our forests and our trees are a dwindling natural resource and a source of deep personal gratitude from me. One of my fondest memories of young childhood is sleeping on the ground under a span of large pine trees a short walk from my country home in Oregon.

"Mother Hunger" --A powerful 5-7-5 message by word and image.

Kimmy, you've said it simply but powerfully. Mother nature is our friend--wish the population could be its friend. The picture is terrific, and I'm still trying to figure out how you managed to create it. It looks like a reflection caught in a bubble or raindrop.

Even a dead tree will stand there offering its shadow on a weltering day of summer. Yes, Nature is juiceless, but even in death it still extend to man its ultimate offer.
