Cloud watching.......

       Sitting here quietly on my back patio,
  looking up watching the clouds moving by.
     Thinking how many times I have done
                            this before,
  yet each time as if they are new clouds in
                              the sky.

  Cloud watching as a small child, guessing
                          the shapes,
could not have been more than three or four.
Wondered where they came from, where they
                           are going,
  growing older observing so so much more.

 With each passing year more acutely I gazed,
        what else is there, just has to be so
                         much more.
    Slowly realizing the tantalizing beauty
                            of it all,
   it was really a welcome sign from God's
                         front door.

      Hands reaching out to gently caress,
offering hope, inner peace, unconditional love.
 The flame burns bright deep within the soul,
each time we catch a glimpse of his beautiful
                        white dove.

   While living in heaven continues through
                         eternity,
our time on earth equals but a grain of sand.
     A stepping stone, a place to rest our
                      weary bones,
 never forgetting what his son did walking
                     on this land.

    One sacred man, one moment in time,
                    changed history,
willingly sacrificing himself for all mankind.
 There has been no other to walk in his path,
which is why we praise him with heart, soul
                         and mind.

      The next time you look at the clouds
                          in the sky,
remember his vision and on the cross he died.
Live your life in praise of his human worth
                  and heavenly glory,
  anything less will be the day Jesus cried.
