My last rejection letter followed form telling me “this isn’t quite what we’re looking for.” He went on to say “as you point out in one of your poems, never give up” as if he could make me feel better by hoisting me on the petard of my own words. I should have left out the smaltzy shit. (a word I learned from Anna Russell) smaltzy, that is
The poem to which he referred was on page sixty three. I wonder how the son of a bitch was able to get through the other sixty two.
When I become famous and he calls me to Do Lunch
I’m going to tell him to refer to page sixty three of my ms.

Hey, boy oh boy do I understand, I have been submitting since 1983 hundreds upon hundreds, and it really is all about persistance, especially when someone has talent as you definitely do, the fish will bite eventually, but man can I relate, I keep a list of all the snobs and rude-asses and they will be aware of my ultimate BIG success, and they will get an invitation to all the BIG parties for me, but the invites will say "YOU ARE NOT INVITED: PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THIS PRESTIGIOUS EVENT: NO SNOBS OR SOBS ALLOWED!" LOL
Some people would wallow in misery, while the "Rusty" chose to write about it! Yeah Chris...I'm with you...We're all gonna just tell him where to go and what we think...
