Poem Artwork

It began its climb slowly
the bud mated to the vine
creeping up the garden wall
past crumbling masonry
it felt the inner vibration
as the vine spread, like arteries
on a road map,in myriad directions

Along the way it felt scorched by the sun
water from a hose would quench its thirst
or rain would  keep it from withering
as time went by it began to have petals
as they unfurled, their pistils spread
sucking breath of life with hungry fervor

Awaiting the first visit of Bees and hummingbird
To bring joyful fruition to their morning glory

~^~

Pistil:-"the entire female section of the flower, including the eggs, ovary, style, and stigma ,(female sexual organs)." glossary of definitions

Flora in transition, awaiting the fulfillmnent of a flowering mission. A very good photo accompanied by a great verbal description. "Let me tell yah, 'bout the birds and the bees and the flowers in the trees", or something like that. Jon Michael Willey

Great write about this vine, but...I felt like it could so easily be taken on another level... regarding us, and blooming where we are planted. :~)

Very educational, sort of about the birds and the bees, and the flowers of course, now that your eyes give you problems, you are using your other senses more are you ha, well it was nice to see some flowers somewhere, and the flowery description of them, I gets the drift, so this might hold me off till I see real ones about August me thinks, Hugs Eileen!
